Village Apothecary is an old-fashioned, independently-owned pharmacy. Our primary focus is restoring our community's faith in small business and reminding them of the high level of customer service a pharmacy can provide. Our staff takes the time to help, and are dedicated to providing unmatched patient care. Saugerties deserves it!

Medically, our focus goes beyond the treatment of illness. We strive to educate and empower our patients to take an active role in managing their diseases. We encourage three key approaches to this: prevention of disease, maximizing "non-drug" treatment strategies, and using medication to treat disease appropriately.

In other words, we don't just stop at prescriptions. We are truly a professional pharmacy. Unlike modern pharmacies, our Apothecary has medical products only. Here you'll find an ample supply of medications, medical equipment, and medical advice.

At Village Apothecary, treatments are tailored to the patient, whether human or animal. Our compounding service provides custom dosage forms, flavors, and strengths to allow a true fit to our patient's needs. Medical equipment is sized to provide maximal benefit and support.

We are proud members of our community. "Friendly, Historic" Saugerties is a quaint Ulster County town, located in the foothills of the Catskill mountains, right along the Hudson River.

Our pharmacy sits in the heart of the Village of Saugerties in the business district. Our location on Market Street makes our pharmacy highly accessible. Unlike other stores in the village, we have ample parking in the front of the store, on either side of Market Street.

Our storefront is 100% handicap accessible, with three ways to get convenient service. First, we have an entrance ramp in the rear of the pharmacy. Patients needing to use this ramp may park in the employee lot behind the store. Second, there is a doorbell to the left of the front entrance of the store. Ring the bell, and we’ll come to you! Finally, we have Curbside Assistance for patients who call in advance. Let us know you are coming, and we’ll get your order ready and bring it out to you.

If getting to the store is an issue, we offer home delivery for residents of the Town of Saugerties. Currently, we are offering this as a FREE service with a prescription or medical equipment purchase. A staff member can provide more details at any time. Deliveries are made after 2:30 pm daily!

Our staff strives to help with your family's medications and health. Along with providing expansive clinical services to prevent disease and keep you healthy, we provide traditional pharmacy services. We accept most prescription plans, including Medicare Part D, MVP, CDPHP, Empire, Worker's Compensation, Wellcare, and NY Medicaid.
