"Healthcare is a Human Right" is an organization committed to bringing holistic healthcare to all, regardless of socio-economic status or ability to pay.  

Since its inception in 2003, Healthcare is a Human Right (HCHR) has operated free clinics in Woodstock, Phoenicia and Kingston, in partnership with Family of Woodstock.  We currently operate under the umbrella of Family of Woodstock, a United Way agency serving the tri-county area of the Mid-Hudson Valley.

All treatments and services are provided by a voluntary faculty of exemplary and dedicated professionals in various healing modalities.  HCHR is also supported by voluntary donations from the community, clients and in-kind and monetary grants.

At present, our clinics are held quarterly in each of our three locations: Woodstock, Phoenicia and Kingston, NY.

Our goals are:

• To increase the frequency of our clinics in order to provide consistent and ongoing care to our communities
• To increase awareness, knowledge and first-hand experience of holistic healing modalities
• To educate the public about wellness and sickness prevention.
• To build community centered around individual and collective welness
• To create a model for other communities across the country to make holistic wellness more accessible
• To create teams of healers to provide quality, affordable, accessible holistic wellness-care to everyone in the community

A Typical Clinic

"Healthcare is a Human Right" is a suitcase (mobile) clinic that sets up operations in varous communities in Ulster County.  Each HCHR clinic completes up to 60 treatments in a 4-hour period.

When clients call for an appointment, they may request a particular modality.  If a client does not have a preference, an appropriate treatment may be suggested for their condition by professional staff during intake.

Depending on clinic staffing and number of appointments, clients may be able to see more than one practitioner.

All HCHR faculty are available for follow-ups.
