Board Meeting Minutes from 1/7/2009

New Business

Next member meeting: 1/28/2009 @ PFT

Agenda:

1.) Factory Tour

2.) Board nominations

3.) Set date for next meeting in Feb. Elections will be held

4.) Looks like we will have 9 candidates for 7 positions

5.) Kevin Brady, Mike Campbell, Bob Cranston, Cheri (Mezzaluna) Miriam Adams, Beth Murphy, Mike Wardell, Jeannine Dirie and Peggy Schwartz will be on the ballot

6.) Mark Smith and Mery are not up this time around

7.) Heather is retiring

8.) Mark Smith will handle election commissioner duties as Rich Frisbie will not be in town

9.) Status on Horsn’ Around

Horsn’ Around Financial Plan discussion:

1.) Mike C motioned to have the Chamber fund ½ the brochure costs

2.) Bob C second

3.) Discussion: Miriam raised the point of a shortfall should we not raise enough funds however it was agreed that the chamber will have sufficient funds to handle the expense. Chambers contribution would be equal to that of town economic development in both funding and content. A max of $10K was decided for the chamber’s contribution. Mark Smith agreed to play a roll in a committee to oversee the brochure. The board will proof the brochure prior to printing. Proof complete by March and to print by April.

4.) Vote was taken and was unanimous.

5.) Kevin signed a document covering what the plans are for the revenues from Hors’n Around Saugerties. Will be posted on the Web.
