SACofC Board Meeting Notes
Precision Flow

In attendance:

Kevin announced that the SACofC database is almost complete.

He will announce when there will be a meeting with interested parties from the Chamber to go over the database, how to access it, etc.  This will be a sort of tutorial.  The necessity of keeping our iContact account was brought up and most of those present agreed to keep it for now since it's a good communication tool for contacting Chamber members about meetings and various issues.  It might be determined that having two databases  is not necessary as we go forward.  The Chamber taking credit cards for dues was discussed.  It was mentioned that Bob Cranston throught that the price was too high to have the Chamber have this account.  We are looking into PayPal as a means to have the Chamber accept payment for dues in the future as part of the application page in the www.discoversaugerties.com web site. 

In regads to the Oct. Members meeting, it will be held Thursday, October 23rd at 6:30 p.m. at Precision Flow's large conference room (3 Tower Drive, off Kings Highway, Saugerties NY).  Agenda is

• Treasurer report (Bob Cranston)
• Update on new dues schedule, beginning January 2009 (Kevin Brady)
• Events discussions:
  • Report on recent SACofC sponsord Flea Market (Mike Campbell)
  • Christmas in the Village (Mike Campbell)
  • Horsin' Around Saugerties Update (Nancy Campbell)
  • Exclusive discount rates for advertising and packages for Chamber members will be presented by several important local publications.
    
  • Fritz Haller of Haller Financial will speak on "Taking Advantage of Alternative Energy Investments"
  • Chamber members' feedback/discussion
  • Refreshments will be served.
  • Possible speaker at future Chambers meeting - representative from Central Hudson Electric
